And that's how it goes really...
Today was mildly uneventful until I set foot (slightly late) into Dr. Carrington's class. I'm glad I made the decision not to opt out of it today, because Kyle had finally decided to call shinanigans and butt heads with the doctor (althought he was butting heads with the video we just finished watching) Who would have thought that the muttering and narrow-minded guy could actually get people to clap for his very bold comments! It made me wish he muttered less.
Well...to be honest I wish he wouldn't mutter at all. It was distracting. But! I'm glad he stepped up to the plate. Yay Kyle.
Oh then we watched a documentary on the Kama Sutra. As narrated by Leonard Nimoy. Mmmmmmm, I guess that's how it goes.
Regarding my current facebook status/comment, I came across a book in the SFSU bookstore. It was fairly large, and the kind of book I would love to read. But it was a publication of a series of diaries written by a boy, and it was being made into a movie. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that movies are no longer stealing ideas from well known places (fairy tales, renditions of Shakespear set to a more modern tone, etc.) but it's kind of silly to sell your life stories to mainstream. It makes me wonder if these so called diaries and journals and 'accounts of real life' are honest to goodness accounts or falsified stories made in the MANNER of a diary. I flipped through the pages and it contained snippets of dialog. Details I wouldn't imagine people would write. There are indeed meticulous and detailed diarists, but to the point where it makes one feel like reading a novel?
I won't call blasphemy, but I won't buy into it either.
Oh!
